Add Vocation Services
The ADD operating philosophy has always been to develop programs
and services that address the critical needs of individuals with developmental
disabilities. One of the areas of greatest need is vocational training and
career development. In order to address that need, ADD has developed a new
vocational program that provides training and employment opportunities in
Central Ohio.
Program highlights include:
-
Small work groups with a staff ratio not to exceed 1:6 employee participants.
-
Competitive wages paid to employees – at least minimum wage.
-
Five hour workdays and the opportunity to work from 1 to 5 days per week,
-
Support staff who are knowledgable about individuals with disabilities as well
as the work to be completed at the job site.
-
Job-specific training provided to employees prior to starting work.
-
Development of skills that can lead to community employment.
-
Individual responsibility for getting the job done and doing the job well.
-
Promotion of social interaction and development of work appropriate social
skills.
-
Transportation provided to and from the worksite in agency owned vehicles.
Individuals who choose to participate in this program will be
employees of ADD Vocational Services, LLC, an Ohio company owned by the the
Association for the Developmentally Disabled (ADD). The mission of ADD
Vocational Services, LLC is to provide vocational opportunities for individuals
with developmental disabilities.

cleaning equipment) and return walk-off mats to various ADD service locations.
The goal of the ADD’s Vocational Services Program is to develop
